04. March 2010 - 07. March 2010, EYP Regional Session
13th Regional Session of EYP Poland

location: Wrocław, Poland
description:

Take part in a truly unique and creative EYP event. 13th Regional Session of EYP Poland builds on a new, innovative concept. What is different about the new concept? Who is invited? How to apply? Please find all information below.

The event is head-organised by Wojtek Keblowski and presided over by Sasha Mazur

..::..

The new, innovative session concept

- First of all, there is no usual emphasis on individual committee allocation. Instead, we perceive all session participants as one big beautiful group.

- This means that during the Teambuilding delegates and officials are hardly divided into any groups: we play, sing, think and have fun together as much as possible. Only at some point we split into smaller groups, so that we can get to now better those with whom we will be working in the Committee Work.

- During the Committee Work each delegate is a member of two "discussion groups" (similar to familiar "committees"); they switch from one group to the other one in shifts. There is one fixed chairperson in each discussion group, whereas others freely switch from one group to another.

- The General Assembly is divided into three parts. Part one is not about presenting finished resolutions, rather drafts that are first discussed by the assembly, whose task is to propose amendments to the draft. In part two, all groups have certain time to improve their draft in a discussion a la Committee Work facilitated by chairs. In part three, the draft, now potentially changed and improved, is presented to the assembly, discussed and finally voted over.

 As a delegate...

... you meet more people and get to know them much better; you work with more delegates that would usually be members of those "other", unavailable committees

... you are involved in two entirely different, exciting discussions ... you meet all officials, and experience various chairing styles

... you can improve the content of each resolution discussed at the GA

As a chair...

... you meet and teambuild all delegates and officials

... you have a chance to co-chair with anyone you like to, you can observe other chairs in action and share with them

... you participate in one part of the General Assembly, and therefore you are more motivated to keep track of the GA

As a journo...

... you easily meet all session participants

... you can actively participate in both officials´ and delegates´ teambuilding

... you have an amazing opport

unity to capture the creative atmosphere of the event in your articles and pictures

Who is invited?

You are! No matter how experienced you are. We invite both EYP veterans/addicts/freaks and less experienced EYPers, also complete newcomers. The session will gather around 50 delegates and 15 officials from all corners of Europe. So, it will be a truly international forum.

The event is held under the patronage of Lions Clubs International, the world´s largest NGO.

When?

4th - 7th March 2010. However, journalists and chairperson are asked to arrive on the 2nd March in the afternoon/evening, since we begin early in the morning of the of 3rd March with a day-long CJO´s Teambuilding.
