Ist National Session
location: Gothenburg, Sweden
description: Though being the XIth National Selection Conference, it is nevertheless the Ist National Session of the European Youth Parliament in Sweden.
120 delegates and 15 teachers from 15 different upper secondary schools all over Sweden will come together in Gothenburg, the second biggest Swedish city. The delegations have been selected through a national essay competition. The Opening Ceremony as well as the General Assembly will be held in the beautiful main building of the Swedish East India Company.
The chairs and press team as well as the jury will be equipped with international EYPers – such as the session president Ragnar Siil from Estonia.
The patron of the session is the Hon. Ms. Margot Wallström, Vice-President of the European Commission, who will be represented at the session by a member of her cabinet Mr. Sten Ramstedt. Another keynote speaker will be Swedish MEP Ms. Cecilia Malmström.
