52nd International Session of the European Youth Parliament
location: Ventspils/Riga, Latvia
description: In the summer of 2006, 250 young people from all over Europe will gather in Ventspils and Riga - both known for their international flair. Open to the public and accompanied by cultural fringe events, Latvia will become the focus of European youth politics next July. All participants will be assigned to committees. Each committee consists of roughly 15 people from different European countries. Discussion topics are chosen to be relevant to the issues of the day and relevant to the host country. Subjects are diverse and politics, economics, environment, society or culture are allotted to each committee.
