Dear EYP friends,

EYP-Poland is proud to announce the approaching of the 14th Regional Session of the European Youth Parliament! For the first time Warsaw will host more than 70 delegates from all over the continent, who will discuss the future of Europe and the European Union for five days. The overall topic of the session is “From history, through culture to a better future - play your part in building Europe of tomorrow”. DEADLINE for submitting application forms: For officials 13.06.2010 For delegates 20.06.2010 Application forms are available at http://www.eyppoland.com/Download.html For this reason, delegates are also invited to become acquainted with many aspects of the history of our country, and Polish contemporary culture. Thing to learn in Warsaw: both of rich and amazing heritage, some of tragic past, and that which offer one of the most diverse alternative cultural scenes in Poland. Questions to answer: What experiences in the history will help to shape the future of Europe and the world? How to use the cultural heritage of European countries in building the common community? Can we assure better tomorrow in the history and culture?

The meeting in Warsaw will allow realising the answers to the above questions, while enabling young Europeans to learn the multiculturalism of our continent, altogether with getting a chance for the exchange of experiences and appreciation of the importance of active European citizenship.

Delegates will be divided into committees, which will discuss issues concerning current political situation, economics, and socio-cultural aspect of our lives. 5 days long session agenda will include the regular EYP elements: Teambuilding, Committee Work, and the General Assembly. Each EYP session is a perfect combination of fun and simulation of parliamentary procedures. The working languages of the session are English and French.

Moreover, following elements are included into the programme:

1. City-quest on the streets of Old Town

2. A visit to the Warsaw Uprising Museum

3. Eurovillage – tasting of dishes/beverages from various European states

4. Euroconcert – presentation of music, dancing and acting talents of participants

5. Panel debates with invited guests

14th The Regional Session of European Youth Parliament EYP Poland has been granted the honorary patronage of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Mayor of Warsaw - Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz and the German Embassy, French Institute.
