The 8th National Selection of EYP Latvia

8th Latvian National Conference (further on – LNC) of the European Youth Parliament (EYP) in Latvia will take place on August 12th – 15th, 2010, in Jūrmala/Riga under a slogan “Environmentally friendly Europe – comprehension through experience!”
It will bring together 150 participants from close and far regions of Latvia and different parts of Europe! The organisers of the session aim to create an international atmosphere to stimulate all participants to increase understanding of various European cultures, languages and other intercultural aspects. The most capable Latvian delegates will be chosen to represent our country in the following two International Sessions of EYP in Autumn 2010 in Lvov, Ukraine and Spring 2011 in Athens, Greece.
Most of the session – accomodation, TB, CW and evening events such as Euroconcert and Eurovillage will take place in Jūrmala, in a school of Agriculture. Jūrmala is a resort city and the translation of its name is Seaside, so you will be given the nice opportunity to have some activities also in the white sand of Baltic seaside!
As we approach the ending of the session, all the participants will be transported to the capital city of Latvia – Riga where the GA will take place in a City Council hall by that giving the opportunity to feel how it’s like to debate in a place where many important decisions are made on a daily basis!
We – the organisers – want YOU to apply! Gain yourself some unforgettable days spent in Latvia and make the Latvian youngsters bitten by the EYP bug by creating the international atmosphere!

Note: We expect applications only for the delegate positions. Officials are selected on an individual basis.
